when thinking about wedding plans... one contemplates whether or not to have a dj or have a "friend" hook up an ipod and hit "play"
now pending a totally obnoxious playlist riddled with inappropriate tunes, once would think the later would suffice...
i say bring in the "Rock Band" (see picture featured at right...)
how fun would that be?
my family partakes in such frolics during holiday gatherings...
none of us can actually sing...
will have wine and beer at reception.
bring it!

find me a job...
One can feel very lost when they are not pleased with their current situation. Take my "current" situation... I am a science teacher, who is being assigned math, who was tempted with and teased with the idea of teaching physical education. What a dream job for any coach. To teach physical education all day... I know it could be boring over time, but hey, I could go back to math...
THIS prospect has been the source of my rage as of late.
I want it only because the idea was presented- had I never been asked, would have never been excited about it. Would have just moved to my math job with not a thought otherwise.
I want the PE.
When asked what honors program I was teaching next year (by the principal)... I said PE.
He laughed.
I was serious.
God please bless me by bring a qualified, strong math teacher to my building... so I can teach PE.

Scraps!
as in scrapbooking... I don't actually do it per say... but I do invest moolaa in the materials to do such activities...
but I make cards and little things, not big pages of photographs and "memories"... mine are all temporary... like said weekend in February when I had the house to myself... I spent 25ish bucks on supplies and proceeded to make 4... count them 4 cute wedding invitations in the red, black and white theme that will be our december wedding... it took me three hours... they are very cute mind you... but at the average of $6.25 per card... not what we will be doing for our big day....
fast forward to today... moe showed me a mecca for scrapbookers and crazy card crafty ladies like me! I have my activity for the rainy memorial day weekend.
37 bucks down...
(at least it wasn't over 90... hint to the name above...)
good times be had by all.

15 days left...
you gotta love teachers... we have huge countdowns... there are only 15 days left of our 07-08 school year! we have been counting down since it was 20. shoot even since first semester when it was 90. heck even 179 days left (second day of the school year)! we even count down years and days to retirement! (well some are. for others of us the number is still TOO HIGH)
15 days left and only three and a half weeks... I technically only teach one day next week because I have a training for two of our three (hee hee)... So that means I have 13!
I am sick of some... but am having fun with others! they are 'getting it' (finally) that it is easy if you follow directions!
Took you all long enough....

Nagging...
I have come to realize that I HATE NAGGING. I mean, everyone does I'm sure... but I have come to the realization that nagging puts me into a very bad mood where I snap at the people I care about most. I also dislike "shoptalk"... Teachers are notorious for it, no matter were we go out, shoptalk comes out... I would like an existance where I leave work at work and enjoy life away from it. But low and behold it inevitably comes up. At home. Out with friends. At friends and family's home. EVERYWHERE. I am really detesting it. Maybe because I am not happy with my job, or maybe because I am not satisfied with my career. I am in year 6 (5 at a low income middle school) and I am not happy. Maybe a change is in the future, the Lord only knows... But what is that... I have no clue...

redemption! yes...
to piggy back on the previous post about middle school volleyball players... we have redemption.
They played very well today- I was actually sitting back in my chair, clipboard on the floor under my chair, I was laughing and high five-ing the girls as they rotated in and ended games... the serving practice finally paid off! the drills to tip at the net finally got their feet to leave the floor (aka jumping) and they were proud... their parents were proud... I was proud! GO Warriors!

Planning a wedding is FUN... yea just shoot me.
I have read an entire book about eloping and how easy it is to just say "forget you all, see you when we get back... MARRIED!!!"
I have already given up the power of the reception food planning... The whole "the knot.com" suggested checklist and time line tells me that I MANY THINGS past due to be completed... including catering contracts, photography contracts (though not too worried about that one yet... ) florist contract, music/DJ contract... Duties for Best Man and Maid of Honor... (like I even know who the best man is... (I hope he does...) Technically I could keep going...
I did register for gifts... it was kinda fun... went to Crate and Barrel... W/O the fiance... He is just interested in asking for money... ummm I don't think so. That is so weird to even ask for money. Do people really do that? I feel that to be very presumptuous. (I hope I spelled that correctly) I signed for for a cute trivet and new "matching" plates. I am tired of all our mixed matched chipped plates.
SO back to the eloping... I wish with an unlimited budget, I could invite my family and his family and we enjoy a vacation and ceremony on the beach... Then we can stay and they can leave. Oh wish... I should play the lottery... The Muck here I come.
